At the beginning of this writing the writer was a 73-year old minister who just retired after 50 years of ministry but continues ministering in nursing facilities, visiting the elderly, the forgotten and the unfortunate. His many flower beds are what he call his therapy.
His yard is covered by many large flowers beds, and a garden. He "inherits" the love of flowers from both sides of his family.
He has 50 books on flowers, some on trees and three on weeds.
Over the years he has collected fascinating stories and facts concerning flowers. Some of these came from his respective grandmothers. He maintained copious notes.
