Welcome to the Enduring Press...

These extremely easy to use books are the result of years of working with seniors, some of which was in a 21-story nursing facility. Over two of these years were spent with special care residents. In all areas there were activities going all day long. Just about every enduring experience our seniors have encountered is covered in these books.
These easy to use books are great for nursing facilities, retirement homes, adult day care centers, Alzheimer's, caregivers, churches, synagogues, community centers and families at home. We have heard that some folks simply enjoy sitting down and reading parts of a book. Others have said that their children often pick up one of these books and ask their grandparents questions; they will learn and grandparents will reminisce. Popcorn always helps. Fun for all!
The reason these books are so popular is that many of you helped shape these books. Your insight was a godsend.
Examples: Years ago, while at a VAAP* conference in Charlottesville, VA, an activity professional we were sitting with mentioned that two of her residents still wore bib-overalls. That led to research, conversations, reading, visits to several farms, etc. that helped shape the writing of Country Life Trivia-Reminiscence. We had written and published Volume 1 with our particular residents in mind when a woman, dealing with a mother with Alzheimer's disease, requested that we publish Volume 4 (Alzheimer's Trivia) next and quickly. We had given her a preliminary manuscript of that volume for her insights. We listened, responded and that was the second volume we published. This is a best seller.
Others of you contributed ideas and have given helpful advise. The result is this wonderful series of trivia-reminiscence books. Thanks go to many activity professionals.
At the onset the writer determined that he would not use the internet at all in preparing these books; he would do it the "old way." He would research, read, do interviews, visit, travel, and do whatever he needed to fully understand the subjects. He relented only only one time and searched the web to find the company that manufactured the tractor Mr. Douglas drove in the TV series "Green Acres." Do you know the manufacturer? The answer is in Volume 3.
The photo above is of the writer while a pastor of a rural Virginia church. He is with his faithful English springer spaniel Champ. The pen & ink drawings on some of these books are by the writer.
